One day suddenly Jaka’s mind found refuge in a forest full of bizarre beings: there was Bonnie slipping on the palm-leaf and a moustachioed Marxist playing bongos among giant red ants.
But soon the nightmares began: the worst was that of Udo, a friend of his, whom Jaka believed to be a Carabinieri spy. ‘If Udo comes to discover my anarchist manuscript,’ he said, ‘I will end my career as a lifer’.
So it was that he set his book on fire and embraced the guitar, firm in his decision to sing about his paranoia in a band that could only be called ‘Udo Caramba’.
