The creative process of the US alt-pop trio, Son Lux has always been akin to a kitchen of sound: a geographically and culturally diverse band in which Rafiq Bhatia, Ian Chang and Ryan Lott bring their own unique sonic approach to create an unearthly mix together. The balance between raw emotional intimacy and meticulous electronic construction, along with the distillation of their various influences, strongly shaped their identity. Born as a solo project of the founder, Lott, it expanded in 2014, thanks to the involvement of Chang and Bhatia. The trio strengthened their chemistry and honed their collective intuition while creating, publishing and touring five releases, including the “Tomorrows” trilogy (2020-2021).
