Regina Kioko Ikeda Ferretti, with Japanese origins, was born and raised in Sao Paulo in Brazil. From an early age, the women of the family taught her many typically feminine manual activities: from embroidery to sewing and drawing. With this important legacy, the artist has been able to develop manual skills over the years and experiment with different materials and supports. She studied architecture at the Mackenzie University of Sao Paolo and then Art and Restoration in Florence. She is the mother of four children, she has lived and worked in Ticino for years and likes to define herself as an artisan of art.
