Graduated in Disciplines of Music Arts and Performing Arts at the University of Bologna, she obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Music-therapy (University of Bristol) and later a Post-graduate Degree in Music Therapy (University of West of England, Bristol, UK). She has been working since 1990 in public and private facilities and in schools of all levels in the organisation and performance of music and music therapy activities with children, young people and adults.
Since 2002 he has mainly worked as a Music Therapist at the Outpatient Centre for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Childhood and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry “Antoniano Insieme” in Bologna and from 2013 to 2016, also at the INAIL Prosthesis Centre in Vigorso di Budrio (Bo).
Lecturer until 2022 at the “A. Casella” Conservatory of L’Aquila and at European (Lemmens Campus Leuven, Belgium) and non-European (Maputo, Mozambique) University Training Institutions.
Supervisor for professionals and Tutor for students from public and private Music Therapy training courses in Italy and Europe.
Ha ideato e realizzato progetti internazionali di Musicoterapia realizzati con la Cooperazione Internazionale Italiana: Progetto” Armoniosamente” e Progetto “Costruire con la musica” (in corso) in Mozambico, ed ha presentato il proprio lavoro e pubblicato articoli in Convegni e riviste italiane e internazionali.
Presidente da ottobre 2022 dell’Associazione Professionale Italiana di Musicoterapia (AIM) e dal 2018 Regional Liaison Europe della World Federation of Music Therapy (WFMT) ed in questa veste ha supportato ed ottenuto l’assegnazione del Convegno Mondiale di Musicoterapia nel 2026 in Italia a Bologna.
