Graduated in Piano and Literature (Musicology), she attended courses and seminars in Music Education. She obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Music-therapy (University of Bristol) and later a Post-graduate Degree in Music Therapy (University of West of England, Bristol, UK). She has attended numerous courses and seminars on communication, the helping relationship, and end-of-life ethics, specialising in music therapy and palliative care. He has presented his work and published articles in Italian and international conferences and journals. Since 2003 she has been a music therapist at the Hospice ‘Casa madonna dell’Uliveto’ in Reggio Emilia, one of the first hospices opened in Italy.
She teaches Music Therapy at the 2nd level Biennium of the Conservatory of Alessandria and is Past-President of the Italian Music Therapy Association, of which she was president from 2016 to 2022.
