The theatre duo DilaliaDuett offers stage readings in Italian and German for children between the ages of 5 and 10. Maddalena Recino and Ursula Volkmann are actresses with long-standing experience in theatre, television and children’s theatre. Their collaboration as DilaliaDuett began in 2015 on the occasion of the “story night” at the Swiss School of Rome (SSR) with bilingual stage readings. Since then, they have conducted numerous acting courses and theatre projects.
With students from the SSR High School, they worked on several classics that were performed at the Teatro Lo Spazio in Rome (2017/18 – Romulus the Great by F. Dürrenmatt; 2018/19 – Don Juan or the Love of Geometry by M. Frisch; 2019/20 The Physicists by F. Dürrenmatt).
During the 2018/19 academic year, they directed the musical Felicitas Kunterbunt, which was performed at Teatro Italia with more than 180 primary school children from SSR.
Since 2017, they have been involved with the Musicus Fest in Hong Kong where they create as authors, directors and actresses the children’s concerts Marco Polo goes to Carnival (2017), Marco Polo returns to Carnival (2018), Marco Polo and the sounds of Carnival (2021) and Marco Polo and the Carnival Instruments (2022). They published their first podcast of staged readings and participated in the Milan Podcasting Festival.
